Because We Must? Help please...

in my own sick way
I am hoping that someone could assisst me in understanding the genesis of "Because We Must". I have seen it many times in reference to Morrissey and cannot recall/ discover/ realize where it comes from. The obvious bet is that it resides within lyric but I have no idea how or why it has eluded me for so long. Please help if you can and excuse my ignorance.
 
yea, those white kids holding, 'cuz we must' signs at the end of, 'introducing morrissey' video & her, 'romper stomper' fetish. It was & still is a bold statement

I honestly did not intend to cause such a stir. Thank you for the threads and links b/c now I know. I have been "born and braised" so far from the NF, their beliefs and rhetoric that I must say that I am completely ingorant of anything attributed to THEIR platform. This was my first thread and an honest question. Perhaps timely considering the recent NME happenings and just might educate more American Moz fans (as myself) whom have no idea the meaning of because we must. Thanks to those who replied to a junior member of this forum-

Could someone please verify the origin of "Because We Must" being associated with moz? Is it the dickensen reference or what?

i thought it was originally attributed to emily dickenson
lyndon b johnson also used the phrase
before charles atlas, michael clark & morrissey
most recently used by david cameron
 
One question

Hi guys:

I have seen the video Introducing Morrissey and would like to know what it means when he says the phrase "because we must" before the song TNFD. In fact, at the end of the video there is a person with a sign and the same sentence. Does anyone know what its means?

i did see an explanation in the main board archive on that issue last year but i couldnt find it any more..i only remember it has to do something with a film?
