Apart from the Veganism, the animal rights activism and the LGBTQ+ movement... I don't think Morrissey can be described as being part of the "woke" generation or an SJW or "virtue signalling".OK, first things first, all I see is "people" calling him fascist. These people seem to be adopting a very postmodernist lifestyle. As far as I can tell, he's not that kind of a person besides the vegan nonsense. Nick mentions him in his cancel culture criticism etc. so we get an idea of anti-postmodernism, better known as anti woke. The fascism specifically addresses the anti-Marxists and the ideals of Marinetti, later, Franco. So let's laugh our heads off to the very next SJW who calls him a fascist. You are the "Anti Marxist"!!! Morrissey is just deranged, and that's it. You can find an Ono-Lennon badge one day and another day, a socialist organisation's which shows he does it only for the show. He is the very first person to be an Anti-Marxist, but SJWs are the next plus they do the postmodernism. So if you do not call yourself Marxist and call him a fascist, please f off. And if you're a sane Marxist, if you'd like to call him, just call him a fascist, wanna listen to him? Listen to him. Just don't do the fanaticism. Just call him a slag, nuts, or any other thing you'd like in your daily life. No irony but go write hateful posts right here to the man who brought you joy in your teenage years. That seems the only way to keep the love-hate relation's love part the least. And as it says in the song, there's a sad fact widely known, the most impassionate way to pay tribute to that brute is to hate his guts. And don't forget the fans who protect him more than their old man. And the fans who hate the brute's old man. When you j.rk off on your Solo thread, go tell them "Oh, god, you're THE fan".
Why are so many people fine with not being racist?I know it isn't but many people are fine with Morrissey being racist.
Thank you for the reply. I don't think I can call him an old school feminist and also MeToo hasn't have all its roots on just 4th wave. JKR seems to get along with him well (as in Importance doc and an interview done lately, but I don't remember her commenting on his views on MeToo the (which was an utter bullsh.t). Once again, he is an agitative man. Does it make him a misogynist? Maybe, because the agitation rules his mind. But also the liberal feminists, so-called TRAs support misogynist men and call the feminists, TERFs, sooo... At least JKR is on his side heheh.Apart from the Veganism, the animal rights activism and the LGBTQ+ movement... I don't think Morrissey can be described as being part of the "woke" generation or an SJW or "virtue signalling".
Morrissey has spoken out about police brutality across the world. Morrissey has spoken out about mental health issues long before it was fashionable to do so. In the 1980s he spoke out about Maggie Thatcher and her leadership. I think he speaks for working-class people the world over not just the Northern English. He also speaks for people who are different and who don't fit in and he is a voice for the animals and the oppressed. Morrissey is "the voice for the voiceless".
I don't think Morrissey says things just for show or to get attention. He genuinely he feels injustice and he doesn't get on the bandwagon of a popular or fashionable cause or charity just for the sake of it. He supports a lot of animal charities. I think he is brave to stand out and to be true to himself.
Sadly, Morrissey has been a victim of "cancel culture" like so many have. I don't like "cancel culture". Morrissey was one of the few to speak up about the "Me Too" movement which seems to of been the start of the "cancel culture". Morrissey is an old school "feminist" of the Germaine Greer type.
There is nothing wrong with Morrissey wearing a John Lennon and Yoko Ono badge/button. Maybe he is a fan of them? It would be interesting to know what John Lennon would be doing today if he was still alive.
Morrissey definitely isn't a racist or a fascist. He might have different views to the mainstream narrative that is all.

Lennon might be the most iconic man in the pop culture of the postmodernist world, that was the reason I mentioned him.
For the cancel culture thing, it can get a little dramatic if you see him as a deranged old man but that doesn't approve his overly provocative ideas. But if we're against the cancel culture sh.t for the sake of Marxists, rad fems, LGB youth etc, the only way practical seems to turn the cancellation of this sh.thead into an advantage and count him. Nobody minds.
Edit: For the LGBTQ movement, I don't thing he really aligns with queer theory aka the holy grail of postmodernism. I don't remember a comment of him on genders, he just minds sexuality.
Is JKR J. K. Rowling? Do you know if she is still a Morrissey fan? Sadly, she has been a victim of "Cancel" culture herself like so many have.Thank you for the reply. I don't think I can call him an old school feminist and also MeToo hasn't have all its roots on just 4th wave. Good God Andrea, will you ever stop?Who is JKR?
Fourth-wave feminism has it's roots in the "Me Too" movement. Probably in the "Times Up" movement as well? I agree with you about that. I also see how the # "Me Too" movement relates to 'Twitter' and social media with the # thing and the new "Cancel" culture and Hollywood.
I don't view Morrissey as a misogynist he seems to have a lot of love and respect for women and he was very close to his mother. In the past he was supportive of feminism. The Germaine Greer type of feminism which doesn't really fit with what is going on today. I think we live in a "post-feminist" world today. Morrissey loves Anne Marie Waters she is a feminist and a lesbian.
Morrissey has a lot of gay heroes but he wasn't very active within the gay rights movement. He might possibly of gone on an early Gay Pride march years ago before he was famous but it hasn't been proven for sure that it was actually him. I assumed that Morrissey is supportive of the modern LGBTQ+ movement but you are right we don't know for sure what his thinking is about that movement.
Morrissey cares about animals and the environment he cares about the climate change crisis. I don't know if he supports "Extinction Rebellion" and the young girl Greta.
Morrissey has been pretty quiet about the "Black Lives Matter" movement. Although, he has been speaking about police brutality across the world for many years.
Morrissey has been relatively quiet about the worldwide Covid crisis.
In recent years it has become fashionable to talk about autism and mental health. Morrissey was ahead of his time talking about those issues years ago. Also shyness, loneliness, rejection and feeling different and not fitting in.
You say that Nick mentions Morrissey in his cancel culture criticism. Who is Nick?OK, first things first, all I see is "people" calling him fascist. These people seem to be adopting a very postmodernist lifestyle. As far as I can tell, he's not that kind of a person besides the vegan nonsense. Thank you for your reply. This all makes more sense now. I think we are living in a "post-feminist" world.@Whitby's Shepherd Boy
I will try to explain in one single comment.
JKR is JK Rowling of course, she's been a victim of the trans right activists (that's what TRA is) because she doesn't really believe in post modernist science (Kuhn vs. realist scientist for a decent introduction) and gender theory (Judith Butler). She focuses on the misogyny that lies under every transsexual man as she receives death treats daily (Eat my ladyd*ck) (Kill your local TERFs) (TERF=Trans Exclusionary Radical Feminist (which simply means feminist). It all started when she shared a support message over a radical feminist who has received mobbing after she told that the thing that matters is the biological sex as self-id is the main element of postmodernism.
Nick is Nick Cave. His support message can be found here.
PS. If you're interested in the TERF debate, please check out Graham Linehan (the guy behind IT Crowd). He seems to be one clever man brave enough to kill his whole career for the sake of women. His manner on certain topics reminds me of Morrissey but ofc he's much more clever.
I'm not sure John Lennon was a true Hippie. I think John Lennon was confused about God, religion and spirituality. Some say Yoko might of introduced him to hypnotherapy.I don't like the hippie culture so Lennon doesn't make sense to me. Hippie culture has a huge impact on sexual rev. and then gender theory.
I forgot Marinetti, sorry for that. You can think of Marinetti as the man who created the fascist ideals and Franco, the man who shaped it.
JKR is probably still a fan, so yeah.
Why is Morrissey being racist such a big deal? It's his choice and who is anyone to criticise his decisions?
