Why The Dreadful Front Cover

Hello,
Just a thought.
Why do artists regularly choose pictures of themselves that do them no favours whatsoever.
There are pictures of Morrissey that can reduce a sane man to a gibbering wreck and there is the front cover of the autobiography (published or not) that should be binned without further thought.
I would be happier with a picture of a penguin on it. At least it would inspire some thought or comment and not leave me yawning like a good 'un.

This particular picture has been used before and is extremely tiresome.

I volunteer to take a new one or dig up an old one, anything but 'that' one.

Neil.

Re: Why The Dreadful Front Cover...

I was wondering the same thing myself. I suppose tty would have no use in showing the cover of the book if it were not the real deal, intended for publication by Penguin. While I don't personally think it's a terrible picture, I was looking forward to seeing something new and unique for the front of Morrissey's autobiography. Shame, really. And the bluish tint is quite tacky.
