In Rainbows is Radiohead playing safe for once, hence i think of it as probably the worst album apart from Pablo Honey.
Doesn't mean its bad though, its still a great album, but it didn't have nearly any of the impact that the previous albums did on me.
The blind one seems to be a favourite, but i can't help but think he may drop out at some point. Hopefully the dumb racist will say something dumb and racist. My namesake is an idiot but just may win (Luke) and people will like the Thai woman as well.
And Rachel is gorgeous.
I didn't know there was that many negative feelings towards it :s
It might be top 5 with me, i'm not sure, at the moment i'd say i prefer ROTT to it a tiny bit though.
And i wouldn't put Bona Drag in 'cos its a compilation.
And if i did put it in it would probably be No 1.
Not sure about that, even when i was a casual Bowie fan Low was one of the couple of albums i had. Its far more accessible than some of his other albums, whereas relatively Southpaw isn't.
Maybe Station to Station would be a better comparison?
Naa, the ones i really look forward to (Such as PJ Harvey, Bjork and The White Stripes recently) i wait till they're properly released and buy on the day, all adds to the excitement!
I thought his performance on Drive-In Saturday was brilliant. Obviously you could find many singers technically better than that, but as far as the amount of passion he puts into it its great.
I don't actually have a CD version of Southpaw at the mo, so this is all very handy!
Its a good album, doesn't deserve some of the flak it gets so i'm hoping the bonus tracks don't disappoint.
