Morrissey Central "I’M NOT YOUR MOM" (June 22, 2021)

Remember the days when we were young and thought everything was good. You get older and realise that everything is a complete shitfest designed to make greedy rich bastards richer. From the shoes on your feet to the glass of milk in your hand to the shirt on your back. Minimum wage child...

Dennis Herring (producer) / Twitter - Extraordinary story about the Smiths' songwriting and recording

He says that "Morrissey would often write new shit....." when you see him using that to describe the genius of Morrissey's lyrics and melodies then you know it's probably time to stop reading this bullshit interview.

HMV: "hmv's 1921 Centenary Editions - second batch of exclusive vinyl revealed” - Bona Drag LTD 750 copies / transparent green vinyl (June 17, 2021)

I'm the exact same. Two boxes of 7". Great to have and was way cheaper than buying the 7" individually (even if you could find them all). But I've always thought the 7" is the poor cousin of the 12".

Anyway my comment was meant to be humorous. Moz is filthy rich. I doubt if he cares about record sales of 750 copies. I'm railing against the interest in Bona Drag which anyone interested enough could have easily bought on vinyl before now. Give me the hard (impossible) to find albums: Southpaw...

It's more than the £37 Gary Numan got for a million streams of one of his songs on Spotify.

Bona Drag on vinyl. Again. Just what the world needs. It barely needed it the first time. Where is Quarry or Maladjusted or Southpaw or Ringleader?

NME: "The Cure’s Robert Smith addresses “imaginary feud” with The Smiths" (June 14, 2021)

I know. I saw them in Dublin June 2019 and it was great....but not a patch on The Prayer Tour in 1989 or even the Wish tour 1992 or in Oz in 2000. I think it's because now they play hits outdoors to massive festival crowds on sunny days, with that waste of space Reeves Gabrels on guitar while he...

I tell you what I really love about Charlotte Sometimes.... the video. Wow but she is the bees knees. I mean she was when I was younger. Now it would just be weird. Kind of.

NME: "The Cure’s Robert Smith addresses “imaginary feud” with The Smiths" (June 14, 2021)

Aw yah I'd say Robert would never be the type to hate someone enough to wish them harm. I was only joking. I had thought The Cure album was 100% finished but now it seems it still needs to be mixed. Reckon we'll know something more definite soon. Robert lost his parents and older brother in...

NME: "The Cure’s Robert Smith addresses “imaginary feud” with The Smiths" (June 14, 2021)

That's the closest crank face Gabrels ever gets to a smile. Jesus he always looks so disinterested on stage with The Cure. I wish Robert would kick him out and replace him with an empty corner on stage. Same impact to the band.

NME: "The Cure’s Robert Smith addresses “imaginary feud” with The Smiths" (June 14, 2021)

I remember that well. But even then I realised it was a novelty song. A catchy novelty song though. A friend went to a Cure concert (free ticket of course) and after 3.5 to 4 hours and 40+ songs later complained that they didn't play Lovecats.

NME: "The Cure’s Robert Smith addresses “imaginary feud” with The Smiths" (June 14, 2021)

You can't try to like something. You either do or you don't. Couple of great singles? Let me guess: Friday I'm in love and Boys Don't Cry? Those songs are shit compared to their best: Pictures Of You, Just Like Heaven, not to mention everything off Faith, Seventeen Seconds, Pornography, Head On...

Ffs. A new member and you start off by posting this pebble dash diarrhoea. Robert Smith has a lovely wife. The only crush he had on Moz was probably wishing to crush his head with a brick. Meanwhile Robert Smith, who wrore albums like Faith and Pornography and Head On The Door and Kiss Me and...

What song are you listening to right now?

Suede's My Insatiable One from Brixton Academy 1993 concert (lovely 2LP clear vinyl which I bought today for Record Store Day). The store had only one copy and luckily I got it. Mad bloody expensive though.

Official Facebook Cruel World confirmed, Pasadena CA., May 14, 2022 - tickets on sale June 11, 2021

Why people insist on using meaningless labels like 'goth' is beyond me. The presenter at the Rock N'Roll Hall of Fame mentioned the word 'goth' before presenting the award to The Cure and you could see Robert Smith squirming with unease in his seat.

The Telegraph: "No record label will touch Morrissey – and that’s the music industry’s loss" (June 4, 2021)

Nothing wrong with what Moz did. He's just letting potential buyers know and generating some buzz.
