As ever, things devolve into flamewar on mozzolo. How I've missed you all.
Wishing Moz well; could be H1N1? Oh, the irony of Moz getting sent to hospital by bird and pig germs. . .
PS Emma: you suck.

I know here nieces and nephew here in the Boston area and they always joked about her. ::shrug:: That's all I know.
ETA: just looked at wikipedia. . .maybe her adoption to Maine is how she is related to my friends, which would mean her heritage is Native, after all. . .my bad. Frankly, it...
Re: House of Blues (Boston) Photos and Sweet Review
Excellent photos! That one of Flax is so, so sweet. The gal next to him is beaming, as well!

<3 Buffy. She was on Sesame Street when I was a kid.
For an Italian woman, she sure rocked that Native American thing for all it was worth (she's my friends' aunt, and not remotely Native).

Artistically, I am disappointed by the use of inelegant words like "shit" in songs since Quarry. Unamusing references to his sexual-blossoming (kegs! eww!) are a disappointment. I admit I like the Moz who lived in his head slightly better than the one who now spends at least part of the time...
I wear 'em and have been doing so for many years (all my friends were in bands, when I was younger so I went to a lot of gigs in my 20s). I like the basic foam ones you roll into skinny tubes, stick in yr ears, and they expand. I always bring extras and offer them to the people around me. Out in...

Re: Ticketmaster convenience fees = no
Those inconvenience charges are the biggest scam going. Back in the day, Ticketmaster had employees, who answered the phones and took the orders. I could allow for a nominal surcharge to (in essence) pay those employees. But now that everything's...
Flax, I didn't have a camera, plus there was a high-maintenance b**ch taking up most of the rail in front of me and making my life unneccessarily difficult. Long story. Is it you w/ the sideburns and quiff??? Or were you right next to that guy?
Speaking of which, Karrie. . .sounds like you...
That whole article looks like its very own Unflattering Photos thread. OMG those are some baddies.
The review sucks, too. Blogging = death of journalistic excellence. 90% of solo members are more interesting, entertaining, intelligent writers.

Now I have to cry "foul" on this poll. . .There is a difference between "best" and "favourite."
I voted for Quarry, as the best, then ranked them from best to worst.
But my favourite is Vauxhall. . .and listing them from fave to least fave is different:
Vauxhall
Quarry
Years of...
Hi Matt! Glad you had fun at yr first Moz show. It was a pretty good one.
I don't tour--I'm a longtime fan (not "old") but with small kids and other responsibilities it's not possible for me spend all the money/time. I wish I'd done it when I was younger, but I don't think it ever occurred to...
Re: hmmmm
Sorry, but regardless of the rest of the song, I still giggle when Moz sings about his kegs. "Birthday" has no such snicker-inducing lyric. It's better.

You Are the Quarry
(incredibly hot on its heels) Your Arsenal
Vauxhall & I
Years of Refusal
Ringleader of the Tormentors
Viva Hate
Maladjusted
Southpaw Grammar
Kill Uncle
I'd almost say the first 5 are tied for the top three spots, the next three are more or less tied for 4th, and...
