Far Out: "The National’s Matt Berninger explains why he no longer listens to Morrissey" (April 21, 2023)

Sometimes I think about the difficulties in separating the art from the artist, then I remember how much cash the artist has separated from my wallet over the years. Screw him and his views, I'm not throwing my money down the drain.

I'm sure it's capable of holding 15,000 people but the number of tickets they sell is 8,000.

Irish Examiner: Morrissey is selling his mother's holiday home in Ireland (February 17, 2023)

He wanted a nice fireplace but he couldn't find a decent local contractor so he called a firm back in Manchester. Irish Wood, English Hearth

Simon Bird (Inbetweeners) 'can no longer listen to' Morrissey (January 27, 2023)

There were arguments about Panic, he wasn't far removed from The Smiths when he wrote Bengali In Platforms (albeit I think that's clunky rather than racist), then there was the odd comment here and there in The Severed Alliance. Frankly, all I've ever seen and heard of Moz outside of the music...

Simon Bird (Inbetweeners) 'can no longer listen to' Morrissey (January 27, 2023)

If you say something like 'I'll still listen to The Smiths but not his solo work' presumably you weren't listening to much solo stuff to begin with. It's also weird that you'd pull the political views card and write on the other side that the none-more-white Smiths are fine while the...

Page Six Secret Service probe follow-up: emails from Morrissey's manager; meeting took place December 9, 2017 for 30 minutes in NYC (January 18, 2022)

Rebels Without Applause was shadowbanned? Someone better tell Spotify, Amazon and YouTube. (Incidentally, there's at least a dozen fan videos/love videos/leaked audio of the song on YouTube, small wonder the official release didn't get much attention, everyone's heard it)

Fiona Dodwell: "A Rebel Without Promo" (January 5, 2023)

Morrissey would be a perfect guest to have on Graham Norton or James Corden's shows. I'm not commenting on the quality, or lack of quality, of them but they get to a point where all the guests are on stage at once. So he could do that and if he decided not to play, they could talk to someone else.

Morrissey Central "WHEN YOU ARE THE QUARRY" (January 6, 2023)

Earlier in this thread, Uncle Skinny referred to 'Occam's Razor' (the simplest explanation is usually the correct one). Morrissey's problem is he's convinced he's a victim of 'cancel culture' when really he's a victim of 'being a late middle aged legacy musician culture'. The only guy of his...

Morrissey Central "WHEN YOU ARE THE QUARRY" (January 6, 2023)

It's impossible to come up with solutions that will satisfy people who are pathologically angry. Far left, far right, Uncle Skinny - these are people that anyone serious should ignore.

Morrissey Central "WHEN YOU ARE THE QUARRY" (January 6, 2023)

That's a lot of words, must've taken some time to write it. Time he could've spent contacting the people you contact to get your stuff on streaming services and checking the capacity of vinyl pressing plants. My mate, who coincidentally got me into Morrissey in the first place, has just...

Morrissey Central "Another one bites the dust." (January 3, 2023)

Well, half of it is. World Peace, Low In High School and Dog On A Chain are an excellent album between them.

Morrissey ranks #166 in Rolling Stone's Updated List Of 200 Greatest Singers

If I could be bothered to put together a list of 200 singers, I'd probably put Morrissey in the top 100. Albeit I've heard far fewer singers than Rolling Stone's editorial staff probably have.

Spiked: "The fire in Morrissey" (December 31, 2022)

I think people being angry at his political views has been overtaken by people angry at him being too snotty to self release his album.

Fiona Dodwell: "Sing Your Life: How Morrissey Became Music’s Greatest Lyricist" (December 21, 2022)

He's a great lyricist but he's got no filter. On the most recent album there's some great stuff like Once I Saw The River Clean and some absolute garbage like repeating 'Ruth is John' for what felt like 329 times.
