Re: 2012!!! Who are you voting for?

Are those real names? No "Chip" or "Chuck" or "Al" ?

FFS, there's a "Newt"? There's no pleasing you, is there Billy.

Re: 2012!!! Who are you voting for?

Oh Ive seen that before.I like reading the credits to American films, the names make me chuckle sometimes. Stirling Silliphant is one of my faves.

In the Heat of the Night?

I think you guys have fancy names to. Nigel Lithgoe comes to mind, sounds very proper and English. I met him once, I worked at a hotel and checked him in. I was watching a little special on William and Kate: 6 Months After :)rolleyes:) the other night and noticed that he's the president of BAFTA? I think they wrangle British actors in Hollywood or something? Anyway he was in charge of some event that William and Kate attended where for one night all the actors and actresses felt kind of normal because they weren't the special people in the room and he was saying how he had to brief all the actors not to rush the royal couple, but they did anyway. :p

Its Scottish :D
What would M's alternative to Labour and Tories be,I wonder?

Ross Perot. He's our only hope.

Re: 2012!!! Who are you voting for?

In the last election I did the third party protest vote thing and voted for Bob Barr of the Libertarian Party. He got just under 0.5% of the votes, if my memory's correct. I voted for him, primarily, as a protest against the bailouts, supported by Bush, McCain, and Obama.

I also felt disturbed by the cult of personality involving Obama, and the fact Obama spent years hanging around in the filthy racist church of Jeremiah Wright. Obama couldn't be trusted, that was for sure. So many bought into him, to my amazement, and I wish they'd apologize for their stupidty. I guess we have to just admit it was an affirmative action thing going on.

As for McCain, I felt he was a half-assed conservative and if conservatives were ever gonna have relevancy again they'd need to lose the election and let the socialist, Obama, take the full blame for all the Big Government idiocy going on. Furthermore, I was turned off and offended by Sarah Palin's support for aerial wolf hunting in Alaska, even though I very much wanted to embrace her in opposition to the sexist and despicable character assassins in what she correctly referred to as the lamestream media.

At the end of the day, I think I voted correctly in 2008. With McCain a loser, the Republicans did a better job opposing socialist policies. Obama, sadly, has been a disaster and disgrace of historic proportions and far beyond my worst fears, and now must be considered an enemy of our children and the future of this nation. However, it's a good thing that people can see what voting for socialists brings us -- economic misery and spiking unemployment. And, of course, I've been 100% vindicated on the bailout policies that most offended me from both parties.

As we approach 2012, I'm of the mind that Obama the Disaster must be ousted and replaced with anyone who can beat him. I hate to say that, because it puts me in the position of likely having to vote for someone I'm not very much down with. But so it shall be.

Anyone but Obama, the worst president in American history.

Hallelujah!!!!

I voted for McCain, not because I supported him completely, but because my husband would have made a ton more money with him in office. He still doesn't exactly tell me why.
Also, anything to keep that moron Obama out of office! Some change! I wish we could have brought back Bush for a third term!

Re:

can a mod make this poll non-anonymous? please and thanks in advance <3 <3

If you add a poll to a thread which is anonymous unless you choose a public vote.

YOU decided the setting. There is no tool to rectify it (because vBulletin doesn't get enough requests from users), I'm afraid.

Re:

There's no admin setting? I made a mistake!

Can I create the same thread with a private poll and would you move all the replies to that new thread?

EDIT: you can move posts, right?

I'm not voting for anyone and I never have, because the whole thing is bullshit. They're all the same guy. Nothing ever changes, and nothing ever gets better. Those guys are all bought and sold before their victory speech. They are veneers, puppets, masks. Interchangeable like underwear.

"I've been dreaming of a time when Americans are sick to death of Republicans and Democrats."

-Amen to that.

Testify!

Was the blatant poor spelling of most of the names in the list because you are apparently 'a ditzy Stepford wife'?

I see there's been progress in this forum in 4 years. In the run up to Obama's election, Morrissey-Solo was completely overrun with Obama advertisements from people who seemed more like GROUPIES. I found it increasingly difficult to even look at the forum. It was embarrassing to witness such worship of a...politician.

I tried to warn them, since all the warning signs indicated Obama was a loser well before election day. But, folks got caught up in the media hype, I guess. It happens. Hopefully they've learned their lessons.

Sometimes I think I made a mistake voting third party in protest, since Obama is even worse than I feared and a lot of folks have suffered as a consequence. But, I've concluded it was for the best. As I said above, let the actual socialists take the blame for the consequences of their policies, since they're the ones who truly support the Big Government direction this nation has gone in, whereas politicians like McCain are weak leaders who cave in.

However, it's alarming that Romney is emerging as the front-runner. Virtually anyone could beat this in-over-his-head loser in the White House (this is a moment like when Jimmy Carter was up for re-election). Why go with a slickster and a sell-out who's just gonna muddle the waters again? Now's the time to hit back hard at the socialists and take this country back.

:)

I would love for Santorum to whip Romney's sorry socialist ass up and down the Iowa Caucus. This nation needs a good strong leader! I met him once at a fundraiser with my hubby several years ago as hubby has family in the suburbs of Philadelphia.

Santorum would stick up for actual hard working Americans and bring us back to being a God-fearing country like we were when we established greatness!

Ron Paul would be a good fallback option. No to Newt!
