Amy Lame - 'Morrissey - Our Collective Moral Barometer'

Morrissey - Our Collective Moral Barometer - by Amy Lamé, The Huffington Post UK

Oh dear. Being a Morrissey fan these days isn't easy. What with his comments about the Norwegian massacre and KFC, his pithy views on the Chinese, and now suing the NME for libel three years after the offending article was published, it is becoming a rather heavy cross to bear.

Just wait till someone fires a hamburger in his direction on the American Tour. Or, maybe a giant hotdog or rack of Texas barbecue on stage!

That's a pretty good article. I like that Moz don't mince words. I get what he means and agree. Good for him for suing defamers.

She should give Morrissey a little respect. I mean who needs love like that?

I think he's our moral bathyscope. He's underwater, baby.

Wow. A cultural heavyweight then.

Hmmm. A person of what standing should pass comment on such matters? A cultural heavyweight such as David Attenborough or Stephen Fry perhaps? How disappointing that anyone else thinks they might have such a stature to be able to hold forth on such subjects.
