As in bloody Editors, Libertines, Dirty Pretty Things...that's all i am seeing here. Not indie in it's true sense.

I was a self-described psycho fan in the '80s. Very few bands really fit into that category, though. There is psychobilly, noise, performance art, aggro-psychedelic, industrial electronic, that sort of thing, but true psycho bands are few and far between.
Back then we only had the Butthole Surfers, who were well and truly psycho gods.
I'm hearing some great noise/industrial bands now, but to sustain a true phychosis you usually need mind-altering chemicals, which seem to be out of fashion these days.
Indie-pop always skews twee. My heart is with those angry young things screaming in basements and tearing their hair out. It's terribly romantic.
