help! i need info to get to coahella

i need to know if i can fly directly to coacella or if i must fly to LA?! i also need to know about car rentals, my friend who is coming with me is 24, is that old enough to rent a car? if not, we are wonder what would be the best possible way to get there from LA. we are coming from houston and really need help! thank you!
