Forget the British Airways adverts he performed in 😌 (and Haz flying on private Jets) Bet that boy with him is shaking his 🧠 and getting ready to 🪰

I was thinking about our health minister's recent warning that every unvaccinated person is going to get infected this autumn and winter.

That is a very bold and strong prediction. It actually sounds like a physical threat, as if he is personally going to see to it that exactly this will happen to each single one of these stubborn f***ed-up Gauls up there ....

My guess is that he already knows that he is not going to be health minister much longer after the federal election end of September. Only somebody who does not give a shit any longer, but wants to fulfill his obligations towards his pharma lobby groups, especially now that a new chapter in his post-governmental career is most likely looming at the horizon, is capable of saying such a thing.
 
I watched a highly interesting video recently, in which a professor for journalism and cultural sciences explained how big lobby groups influence the media. Well, of course, we all know that where there is money, there is a willing mouthpiece, but it was a bit more differentiated than that, as he said that also smaller lobby groups with less capital, are capable, once in a while, of getting the one or the other article into the mainstream media outlets. And actually there is a website which is collecting exactly these odd and outstanding articles from the mainstream media and other sources. It is called multipolar-magazin.de. They have an English version too. I am pretty sure that there are other international websites which offer such a service. At the moment, I can't see a hidden agenda behind this project. The two links above are cited on this website.

Strange, I just noticed that the connection was closed. Hope they were not shut down...

Another interesting idea was that "science" in itself is not monolithic, but that there are always contrary opinions and debates going on about what the truth actually is. For us laymen though, the word "science" has achieved sort of a religious status. "According to scientific research....", "As proven by science...", "Science says..." Not all voices that are part of the scientific discourses are heard though, only those with a lot of money in the background are those which can be the loudest in the mainstream media outlets.

well, vaccine passports are a reality now in BC. from sept 13th on you will need a vaccine passports to access:

  • indoor ticketed sporting events
  • indoor concerts
  • indoor theatre/dance/symphony events
  • restaurants (indoor and patio dining)
  • night clubs
  • casinos
  • movie theatres
  • fitness centres/gyms (excluding youth recreational sport)
  • businesses offering indoor high-intensity group exercise activities
  • organized indoor events (e.g., weddings, parties, conferences, meetings, workshops)
  • discretionary organized indoor group recreational classes and activities
  • student housing on college and university campuses

I've ben observing an interesting phenomenon in the past few days whilst out walking the dog. we have been p[lunged back into severe lockdown by our govt here and now masks have been mandated for places like supermarkets and diaries.

It amazes me that when out on walks in the park, fresh air and plenty of space between people I see people walking around, I'd say 50% as a rough generalization fully masked.

Now this can only make me think one of two things:

A) They only saw the headline of the news report that masks are mandated sand didn't bother to read the rest where it says that this only applies to supermarkets, closed spaces etc. Our govt has taken a very conservative approach to how they've managed the virus and not even they are saying you can catch/spread it whilst out in the fresh air of the park.

Or,

B) People have been so cowed into fear by the MSM narrative that they really believe that by standing around in the fresh air of an open park they could be susceptible to catching the virus.

It's bizarre and shows me how misinformed people can be or how easily manipulated into fear people can be. Also of interest is watching people wear mask around the supermarket, they are constantly fiddling with them thus making them virtually redundant. At this point it seems like pure theatre.

ive seen people when they go to get their money out of their wallets, lift up their mask to lick their finger before taking out a bill. i want to ask them exactly why they think they're wearing a mask.
 
also, none of what you said is novel, b-boy. people have been wearing their masks outdoors for ages now and it's been pure theatre for ages now. for a long time you werent allowed to get on the bus without a mask, but you were allowed to get on a bus with your mask hanging almost down to your chin.

Maybe in Canada but this level of insanity is brand new for NZ. The PR Spin team have done a great job of marketing Delta as death on steroids.

So far we have almost 200 confirmed cases for this Delta outbreak and of course no people in hospital while it's very likely there are hundreds more infected. At some point no doubt, a 73 year old with a serious heart condition, obesity and type 2 Diabetes will succumb to the diseases and the media and govt will break out in paroxysms of paranoia about how Covid is a killer.

Right now on the news it's sooooo stupid. The newsroom does a cut to a reporter standing stoically outside a hospital in the fresh air, wearing a mask. They then make a show of removing their mask before starting their report. So, umm does Covid know not to attack them during their broadcast?

'Oh look it's a reporter doing a live broadcast, they've just removed their mask, so we won't go near them until the broadcast is over.' LOL

f***ing dumb.
