Morrissey A-Z: "If You Don't Like Me, Don't Look at Me"

Not a track I revisit much, but I liked it when it came out. It's always a relief to my ears when Morrissey is accompanied by an acoustic guitar. For better or worse, this one of those songs that Elvis Costello alluded to a while back where Morrissey seems to come up with a good title and subsequently forgets to write the song.

Coming up with a fantastic title is a talent in itself though.

The best thing about it is the cheeky 'There must be somebody else who can take your gays aways' line.

I've always liked this song and regarded it as a bit underrated.

Jesse gave his best effort at recreating Marr's Bigmouth Strikes Again. Its one of his better co-writes of the ROTT period.

I like it, listenable, but a clear example of lazy lyrics. Too often good music is ruined by poor lyrics.
