is that the real reason? i always thought it was because he was trying not to laugh

I thought noone knew why he didn't release it. Where did you hear it was the way he looked or trying not to laugh:confused: I'm just curious, I always wondered because it's a great show, I've enjoyed it many times on youtube

He released this statement in 2008:

"The slapdash release of Morrissey: Live at the Hollywood Bowl is done by Warner without any consultation to me whatsoever, and is in breach of their terms as laid out by themselves in an agreement made for the film between Warner and my ex-manager. Being Warner, predictably the sleeve art is appalling. It is the work of cash-hounds, and I urge people NOT to buy it. I am not signed to Warner, and no royalties from this DVD will come to me. Please spend your money elsewhere. Thank you, MORRISSEY."

Guess we can wave goodbye to yet another DVD release.. :D

great setlist, I Wonder if it's only audio .

but first te kill uncle remaster

good times even if he's resting

Thanks Morrissey

I don't see why he would be all fussy about his body. He looks DAMN GOOD for his age....Besides, he always takes his shirt off and if that was a true concern well, don't take it off.

A very promising release I think.

Unlike Hollywood bowl and MEN it is a small venue and we know he's best playing smaller or medium-sized venues. I like both releases, but obviously it is usually much better with his hardcore-fans in an intimate place. Also looking forward to the "Asleep"-part in "Speedway".

According to Eagle Vision TV Spring 2013 catalog (page 9)... It seems that the concert film from the Hollywood High School in LA will be released :thumb:

MORRISSEY
Live in L.A.
One of music’s most enigmatic and intriguing figures returns to centre-stage.
Morrissey’s prolific career as a solo recording artist, singer and lyricist has generated
an array of hits and much critical acclaim, whilst he remains one of the most influential
and iconic individuals in the industry. Being the first concert film from Morrissey in many
years, this rare show captures the former Smiths frontman playing live at the Hollywood
High School in Los Angeles to a legion of loyal fans

How utterly f***ing pointless. No, thanks.

I'm sure all of the folks who were holding tickets for the cancelled Sparks, Nevada show will want a copy of this one!

P.S. Gee, what a surprise. Moz is unhappy that it's being released. What isn't he unhappy about...?

I am glad to hear he will be back on stage. I don't care of it's South America, UK, or U.S. I'm happy the man is continuing.

This site, which I enjoy most of the time, is full of so much bashing and criticisim, why? I have had plenty dates cancelled and travel arrangements that needed to be changed due to the recent tour, but I'm OK, your OK, the point is he's OK. If he weren't "going on" with performing, what would many of you on here be left to do, pick apart every solo release he's had, his statements, etc.

I'm hoping he'll come round the US and again for some missed shows, then head off to the UK, be ready for it.

And by the way, Happy Easter everyone~

All of these songs are so played out

I'm Throwing My Arms Around Paris
Let Me Kiss You

Here are songs I just don't even like
The Boy With The Thorn In His Side

The 2 new songs are ok.

That leaves this for what I am interested in:

The setlist at the beginning of the tour was so much better.

Because Morrissey's putting out a concert DVD is ALL ABOUT PLEASING YOU. Of course. I get it now. How silly of us to think he might want to show off work he's proud of.

I agree. I can't help but feel the setlist would have been stronger with songs like "I Know It's Over", "How Soon Is Now?" & "Sweet And Tender Hooligan",
