Morrissey Yves Saint Laurent jacket

I attended Moz's concert last night here in Tel Aviv. He threw his silver YSL jacket after the first song, and I was lucky to catch it!!

Though not sure I would ever wanna part ways with it, it does make me curious how much is this item worth for the avid morrissey collector.

Here is an article about the gig, showing Morrissey wearing the Jacket (and throwing it):

Here's a video, CLEARLY showing the jacket toss:

and here's me, wearing it:

I'd love to hear your opinion, although, again, I can't see myself letting it go.

Thanks,
E

That's fantastic. Keep it, don't sell it.

Wonderful,

Peter

Please let your wife wear it. For my sake :) And never let it go, ever!!
Nice catch, seliko. Tossing jackets is unheard of. Someone pls give instances if I'm wrong. :)

Just the retail on that jacket would probably be over $2k.

Nice catch there Seliko. You probably haven't heard so many "nice catch" comments since you were a small boy playing baseball!:D:guitar:

Hold on to that thing! The memories are priceless.:)

If you weren't catch it, probably I would..I was standing behind you, from the other side of the fence. I remember you.
Lucky you, standing between the fence and the stage (I was at the front row), thank to whomever let you take photos in the restricted area and especially thank Moz for throwing a lame shot;)

Don't even think of selling it, if you're a fan of the Moz.. You'll understand your wise decision some time later.

P.S : Consider yourself very lucky, getting the jacket in one piece! if you were in the crowd, you'd never succeed :)
P.P.S: sweetness522, We don't play here baseball..Try football (Oh, you're american..I mean, soccer:D )

I had that in mind when I posted it, but wasn't really sure. I thought baseball was universal. Oh well.....:o

Of course I'm a fan of Morrissey. I happen to also be a photographer, I guess you'd have acted the same way, had you been on the other side of the fence. And as you said, Moz did have a lame throw...

Anyways, as I originally stated, I'm not parting ways with it, I'm just estimating the goods...;-)

thanks

I'd say $500. Probably worth more without it's connection to Morrissey. People try to sell their caught shirts on eBay and they never do well, meet the reserve or even get a bid.

It's worth more with the Morrissey connection..surely..

please feel free to donate this or any moz related stuff to the upcoming november spawned a monster ebay charity auction in aid of the salford lads club

YSL, nice.
It fits you too. I was thinking how frustrating it would be to catch Morrissey's jacket as I'm only size 46. He must be at least a 50. God, that would be awful, wearing 4 sweaters and rolling up the sleeves in my YSL.
Must have been a very polite audience to leave you with the whole thing.
He's bound to die before you so you could also consider it your pension. A useful thing to have if you're a photographer.
But of course that's your luck gone for the next 7 years you understand.

edit.. Ah, I get it now.. you were taking pictures at the gig. That's one of the lamest throws I've ever heard of. Throwing your jacket to the photographers. Ha!

Yep, I was in the photographers isle, so technically it was a lame shot and a throw at the photographers, BUT, this photographer is an old-time fan of The Smiths and Morrissey, so I guess he threw it just as he should, and at a fan as well..

Morrissey is a 54.

Wow, treasure it always. If you ever bring yourself to sell it give me the first shout lol ;)

id say its woth at least £2,000, given the fact that its genuine and not some fake like you get on ebay
