Question for the mods

Weren't they looking for the keys in the shower? Dunno why it was deleted, didn't seem that offensive.

It was only offensive to those that have 'issues' with LGBT sexuality. The questionable SS photo remains as "art". The film itself is rated as porn. Promote one sexuality. Censor another. Yeah, that's free speech alright. It's ludicrous that the morality police that couldn't handle the gif consisted of the ever-vocal Hofmann (who posted the SS image) and Reelfountain - 2 arch homophobes that usually decry such actions as establishment control. How terribly fickle they are with their views.

No. Whoever they are.
you look like brothers. you sound like brothers. you both have that dog who just did something naughty and got scolded countenance. im gonna say you're brothers. let me see, who's the smart one? it's you, isn't it?

I actually agree. However recently I got into with David T. over something. I felt his actions were hypocritical to the terms of the site, I didn't like it very much. But then I also thought, his site and with it the choice to do what he wants. You have the same choice I did, suck it up or leave.

That's quite the ego. So, what you're saying is everyone has to be like you? No, thanks. Some people have views that they believe in. It seems yours are throw away and not views you'd actually stand up for. Cheerio!

No mine are practical. David owns the site, realistically what do you think you are gonna do? So far you're efforts have met with spectacular failure, but by all means keep tilting at windmills if you like.

I think if it had been counterbalanced by two women taking a shower it would have been fine, but keep in mind I try not to think very often because I find it quite irritating. :)

you find thinking 'irritating':drama: ?
and therefore you 'try' not to think very often.

:poutingcat:explains quite a bit.

I have trouble reconciling what the terms and conditions are with how Davidt decides to exercise them. They're his terms and conditions and is he bound only by what he saw fit at the time? There's no one above him telling him to abide by them. He set up the site himself, he's his own judge and jury. Is there any legal responsibilty for him to behave in a certain way? It all means nothing. Its a site people can choose to frequent or not.
I think the problem is when he pretends that it does.

You remind me of my colleague at work, evennow. He used to call me ginger minge
We had people from head office come to visit us one day. We all had our nameplates on our desks and unbeknown to me he changed mine to Ginger minge. Imagine the surprise when the guy from head office was shaking hands with an employee called ginger minge!
f*** me, gingers have a soul after all .

Brilliant!

Like a day at work at Volvo in Sweden early 90's. The way I ridiculed Rolf all day long making it imposible for him to work. But he loved it the fat bastard.

I could have complained about all the recent homophobia, but it's a perrenial argument that always ends in tears. I run away from any discussion on the rights and wrongs of my sexuality. The rights and wrongs of my existence. I know I have to exist so there's no argument. I read posts decrying gays with disappointment but I don't respond.

That's how you feel and I have no quarrel with that. How could I? I, and it seems a few others, feel that by ignoring the posts we're ignoring the problem. A problem that affects some us directly in our daily lives every day i.e homopohic remarks, bullying or violence.

These imaginary enemies "tilting at windmills" are you claiming the posts made by Reelfountain and Hofmann don't exist or that they themselves don't exist? Or, are you saying that homophobic language never results in homophobic violence?

David does own the site but does have to meet guidelines set by his registrar - Name.com - (both in terms of their regs. and his own) and breaches of law with ICAAN etc. That's all very vague but for each complaint the registrar receives a - let's call it a black mark - goes against the site if a complaint is found to be valid. It doesn't mean they'll actually do anything - who does when it come to legislating the internet - but it does provide a volume of evidence regarding the owners behaviours in regard to his website should matters go, shall we say, tits up. It takes me no time at all to submit a complaint for each homophobic, racist anti semitic comment that is posted by - yu know who. I then feel I have done all I can legally and then it's over to those that can take action to do so. I'm aware I don't hold the power in this situation but I'm not powerless. Neither are the others who challenge these comments.

I'm not one for turning away. If I saw an LGBT person being beaten in the street I wouldn't walk away. It makes no difference to me whether it's in real life on in the confines of a forum. The comments used here affect people. They are not just words. The words often come with consequences and assaults. If people here choose to accept the sitautin as it is then I'm not surprised by that but I take a different view.

Again it depends on what you view as homophobic language. I've worked and socialized with gay people in the past who you could language around, indeed they even encouraged it to an extent, that you would probably deem homophobic yet they were totally OK with. That's probably why I've offended some gay people on these boards, in as much as I've used terms to them on these boards which were regular vernacular to gay friends of mine but caused offence to people here. 12" I once termed a 'Nancy boy' which really seemed to upset him. Now I used to work with a couple of South African Queens and this is a term I'd use all the time, they'd laugh and call me a 'straight bitch' You could make jokes about them being sausage jockeys etc etc and it would all be taken in jest. My second cousin is also gay and a part time drag artist, same sort of thing. He holds a Xmas party every year which is a hilarious mix of his gay friends and straight family and particularly as the booze begins to flow this type of language gets used, often by themselves actually.

Now as I've learned the same type of vernacular would really offend 12" and I presume you as well. So who is right and who is wrong? The gay saffies and my cousin who are a lot more loose with their language or you and 12" that are a lot more sensitive to this stuff? It's really very subjective.

At the end of the day I'm not sure what you are trying to achieve here anyway, only 10 people and 2 stray dogs frequent the site these days, the world isn't changing because of this site.

Same here and we're not talking about the decent gays out there but the evil ones of the homo lobby.

12 inch on the crack is a typical example of the gay man I despise thinking he is above it all who cannot come down from his high horses yet is awful towards others in the same way he accuses me and others of.

I hope he stays the hell away from this forum cause it improved when he left.

I think you're going out of your way to be deliberately obtuse - interestingly, not one question answered about the real or imaginary comments/posters? As has been pointed out by myself and others context is important. You consistently ignore that to make spurious points about language you deem acceptable but as yet no language you deem unacceptable - that in itself is illuminating. These people? At that party? Did they spend all of the night describing gay men as paedophiles? Was every word they uttered about all LGBT people negative/hateful? I'm also sure your familiar with the phrase 'reclamation of language'. I'm not "sensitive" to homophobia, I'm aware of what it is. I'm aware of it's impact. Collusion is for Trumpists. It's not for me. If the world isn't changing as a consequence of this site why are alt/far right views more prominent and accepted within it? The world is changing and if Trump and Johnscum are anything to go by - it's not looking good. In refernce to the comment below, why is it that those who wish to challenge homophobia are said to be on "their high horse"? Have they read none of the comments made by the far right in this comment. Now, those are high horses, indeed.

I take it you suffer from Barnaby syndrome where thinking is irritating.o_O
who is the 'they' that have not read the comments made by the far right in 'this comment'.
That type of in coherency is classic Barnaby.:lbf:

Did you really expect him to answer? He supports the Nazis here. He ignores what they say but when someone says something about it he storms in "YOU can't decide who is a Nazi! Start your own website!" :drama:
