I Know It's Over...

I was reading a totally unrelated tech blog, and it mentioned a website which offers legal mp3 downloads. I visited the site, it looks legit. They had some Morrissey tracks, Jarvis - just to name a few. Apparently, they offer over 1.5 million tracks! So, if you're old school and remember music as something one would purchase, or you are a guilt ridden downloader, look no further!

Here is a caption from their home page:
"Mp3-2000.com is dedicated service that indexes and organizes all music that has been posted legally to the Internet. Our service allows us to have access to a huge database of free mp3 downloads and additional free music downloads that are available worldwide all over the Internet. This makes our service one of the best music search engines on the Internet. You can use our service to legally listen to any of the mp3 files returned in the results before you download it."

I think this is kinda fishy.

To take one example, I went for I Am Hated For Loving. Now, ask yourself, do you really think that has been posted legally to the internet, for free download? Really???

Now, I was able to download the song, but the link it supplied me was on http://slangeditorial.net/ (I wouldn't click this site really unless you have a good antivirus program!), yeah sure this site has full rights to post I Am Hated For Loving on the net...

tl;dr - this site does index mp3 downloads on the internet, but does not check or respect which ones are there legally.

I couldn't seem to actually download the song but I just listened to the Mountain Goats covering Suedehead. For that alone this site is worth posting.
