im finally back in FL where it is 80 degrees and sunny today BLAH!
so this show seemed off since the second we got there. casinos=depessing, boring, smoke filled, loud, etc etc etc.
i called the mgm box office day of and upgraded our seats to row M which was only 14 rows away. my friends that bought the tickets and that i was supposed to be sitting with were stoked!
while hanging with solo'rs and other irregular regulars, waiting for doors, i learned that there was no opener and moz was going on at 8pm! awesome for me cause i get back home fast but sucks cause i know people expected him to go on at 9.
the front rows were pretty much empty so i just walked right up an sat down. security was sitting in a chair in the middle of the aisle about 3 rows from stage. as soon as the lights went down everyone rushed an he quickly left his post and the chair was thrown out of the way.
moz looked and sounded great!
matt walker was having a problem with something before the one song, it was something electrical/programable, metronome? sampler?
during sea sick, moz's necklace broke and he reached in his shirt between the buttons an took out an put it in his pocket.
there was some other band mistake an moz smiled an laughed.
boz's rack not working. it was something technical an not the house turning off the electric.
moz made REALLY weird faces at me and said something after i handed him my letter.
all in all, it was a great way for me to end my tour...for now hehe.
Cool, thanks for finding that!
I'm still not sure if he liked it. I saw him make his scrunched up quizzical Morrissey face which kinds of makes me wonder - typical Moz response!
Congrats to you again on getting the letter to him. I am sorry that I couldn't get a photo, but I was handing him the shirt at the exact same time.
those pics are amazing!!!! what is even better is that i was standing right next to you so that was my exact view too!
dont worry about the pic, i know we planned on giving him the stuff at separate times but unfort, it didnt happen like that haha.
an im sure he loved your shirt, i think it was the envelope of mine that he was thrown off by. your shirt makes perfect sense, my envelope... does not!
Considering that the stage was so low, and I could lay my torso out on it easily so that to run to moz I would only need to wrap a leg over and dodge arturo... I feel a little bit ashamed of myself for not at least running up on stage and hugging morrissey when it would be so very very easy
im still kicking myself for not attempting!!! it would have been sooooooooo easy! oh well, next time i suppose.
