Posted on a private FB. Attached comment: "A mate dragged me along to this gig, University of London SU, 6th May 1983. The Smiths weren't on the pre-gig publicity so few Smiths fans there, just goths to see the Sisters. But we'd heard the first album and seen This Charming Man on TOTP, so were intrigued and stood at the front right in front of Marr and Morrissey (literally could have reached out and touched them), enjoying their first album set, whilst the goths remained in the bar! Enjoyable gig- Reel Around the Fountain, Still and What Difference remain favourites - we became Smiths fans thereafter... and the Sisters were brilliant too. Alice, don't give it away!
