Since there is absolutely no other news to report, here are some followup numbers for the curious: The Best Of Morrissey second week sales: 1,773.

In comparison, The Cure's Greatest Hits (with two new tracks, also offered with a limited edition second CD of acoustic versions) sold 32,452 in its first week, making it to #58 on the chart according to A Chain Of Flowers.

I was browsing around the web and came across a site dedictaed to concert posters. They had many cool original concert posters and prints for sale, and I start looking for my favorite bands. I was looking for any posters by one of my favorite bands THE FAINT, and I got an unexpected treat! A MORRISSEY image on the poster! Its a great image of a tired, worn-out looking MORRISSEY as a scarecrow, with the caption at the top 'Where have all of my teenage heroes gone?' The artist is Jermaine Rogers, who did a MORRISSEY poster a couple of years ago that I believe was on this site. He must be a fan cause this poster definitely looks like a 'fan' poster. By the way, for great new music check out THE FAINT: the Moz image suits their music perfectly. The site is called PHILAARTS.com and the image is here:

Poppy singer-songwriter Pete Yorn covers "Panic" on his new "Live at the Roxy" CD. He has listed Morrissey and The Smiths as huge influences in the past (both in interviews and in the liner notes of his debut album "musicforthemorningafter") and, although he doesn't mention them by name during the concert, it's a great cover. The CD was released, apparently, only to certain indie music stores. He segues from "Panic" into his single "Life on a Chain." (Catalog information: Columbia CSK 54861.)

Boz is playing my Brian Setzer Fan Fest on December 8th at the Blue Comet in Glenside, PA (outside Philly). He's also playing a set there the next day. The thing about the Fan Fest is...I've announced that it's sold out, but I held a few tickets for Boz's fans. If anyone needs info, write to me at [email protected].
