From Ryan Minchin:

Just a note to inform you that in the new issue of that British arbiter of style, The Face (Guinevere cover), there is a full page (p178) Q&A feature with Morrissey, where amongst other things, he claims to be "in love with the pop moment".

I'm also in love with the pop moment when my pop-tart pops up in the toaster.

Perhaps an inspired UK'er could transcribe the Q&A and post it on the site.

Romeo:

Garrett is a goofball that posted a "Garrett's Ark" party on this website, in which he invited people to his house during a hurricane in Florida (it evidently never hit the Tampa Bay area where Noah, oops, I mean Garret is from). He asked everyone to bring $3 for bread and lettuce to feed some stray rodents he rounded up in his neighborhood. He set up a "quiet" room, where people could read while everyone else "danced" in the other room to Smiths and Morrissey songs. It was really bizarre and probably alienated and freaked everyone out. I don't think anyone showed up. By the way, I like Strawberry frosted pop-tarts.

Thanx for telling us about this interview, but since I don't know what the heck that magazine is, or how to get my hands on it, could ya transcribe it for us too?

Sorry to be off topic, but all this talk of pop-tarts is making me feel nostalgic. I haven't had a pop-tart in years. I do remember being partial to the chocolate kind with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

If talk of 'Pop Tarts' evoke feelings of nostalgia
then I must be getting old.
