The new album answer was faint humour about WPINOYB... (imo) February was a giveaway
Although he's getting his gigs-worth out of it. I must say I like it more as time goes, definitely an oddball album.
IMO (if any op's give a rats) he possibly seen it as a chance to bask in a patriotic soiree with an audience, apart from his own, who might know a little of where he was coming from... But it backfired because he was maybe playfully trying to salute with yobbos & fascists. Maybe David's life...
BTW "the owner", How can you adorn yourself with a username like that, then say "goofy weirdos"? No, your post no doubt hasn't stirred up any hilarious responses except a call-u-out response above :-) & to top it off i'd say you eat coloured popcorn...all the time, chomping & spitting it through...
You have got to be kidding answering a poster like that!? You my not-friend have lost the plot... It WAS over 20 years ago after all, nothing at all wrong with the OPs opinion. You have too much to say over very little, you hate Morrissey & his fans in general & its the likes of you that puts...
Re: WPINOYP is #9 in UK record store charts
Spouting Morrissey-esque (not) rantings doesn't fully convince your Moz-laden adversity is apparent. Your intention is the paradox.;)
I will be there as i was in sep'91 when it was the Point Depot (or was it Theatre?) as long as things go to plan.
But I wouldn't put my house on it actually occurring... Hopefully.
Nowhere Fast is a timeless piece... I really think Morrissey was at his apex during Meat & Queen in regards to hitting bullseyes, figuratively speaking.
Regarding everyday world peace Its a close guarded secretive subject, with more than enough corruptive red tape to think things will...
Warrenpeace looks like he wants to hold down some joes head & beat it into jelly. If he been around & had asked the question in the chorus in 1983/84 it would have made more sense than it does now...
You cannot begrudge anyone that has been to both the apex & the low points of their...
Thanks:) To try even explain: I understood how alone he was/was feeling when i got to grips with "Speedway". The best ever song he has written for me. Not because of the lyrics as such, but the painful honesty in its presentation & admitting his failures & asking why he was so hated by the music...
Maybe the "stay on the path" way he has lived has been harder on Morrissey than most, who might have threw in the towel by re-inventing themselves every 5 years. I think imo he now understands his stance is too hard to bear as the world slowly degrades into the pit he was always trying to show...
The site is a disgrace to music & artists in general...Morrissey can be awkward & impossible to try work out at times, but the Mods & long-time members here have this cloud in their brain that he is somehow below them & gives a toss about what they may think they know about him & or his life...
Agharta, you have been one of, if not THE main disliker of the album since before it was released.
You are in a certain crew that gave it a quick play & have been going on & on about how crap Morrissey, his musicians & the album is since.
You don't like it, thats your opinion to which you...
Well i live a lot further away that that & its a fair assumption to say more seals will be executed in a national seal hunt than units of the album selling. Most things are out of the populations hands in this world thanks to greedy rule-making corporate criminals.
Maybe if there were more...
