Agreed. Such a bleak song, Moz could do it a lot of justice (not that Drake didn't).
I only know the Jeff Buckley version but I'd love to hear Moz croon "Lilac Wine".
Good song. I like the last lines the most: "I believe I will see you somewhere safe, Looking to the camera, messing around, And pulling faces" Aimed at the innocent young victim of the war, I like the way Morrissey understands how young children should be (mis)behaving when not scurrying around...
Any of you into this shit? You hold a spring operated pen button end down on a table/flat surface, push down and release to see how high it can jump? Crazy shit.
Agreed - Dusk is phenomenal. The guitar solo in This Is The Night is among my all time favourite solos by any guitarist (and I include Kerry King in this). Only a couple of string bends, but the use of the wah-wah pedal, tone control and panning in the production is sublime. His finest...

A work colleague of mine insists that she heard somewhere that Morrissey owns loads of property in Salford - like, streets and streets of terraces. I'm sure he owns a fair few properties in various cities of occasional residence, but I've never heard that he owns half of Manchester. Any truth to...
I agree - Speedway has gotta be my fave Moz tune by miles. Its got it all - great music, great lyrics, great chainsaw... and the pay off at the end: "I could have mentioned your name.." etc. has the power to move me to tears (after enough alcohol)
