Marr Presenting 30 Best Manchester Songs

There is a Light is playing right now at #4 -- the highest ranking track for The Smiths. Johnny just told a great story about the recording of this track. He said that when he was working on the remaster of The Smiths songs a couple years ago he listened to one of the original three takes and at the very end he said "Oooh, that was brilliant!" He regrets they didn't leave it in as part of the recording but says if you turn it up really really loud during the fade out...

Was Northside's ''Shall We Take A Trip'' in there?

What if this is a dirty trick and Marr just wants everyone to blow out their eardrums listening to the fade out? :lbf:

Thanks, King Leer.

Sorry -- doesn't contain the songs themselves! But Johnny's commentary is still worth listening to. Also not sure why it's only 1-20 and skips 21-30.

Oh, well I'll get me coat.
