I listened to Pet Shop Boys' "Release" album today for the first time in ages, probably since it was out and is it me or the intro to Birthday Boy is really close to Ouija Board's ?

Yes it sounds similar. Johnny Marr plays on the track too..

Yeah, I hear it - never made the connection before. Release has some classics - from memory "Home and Dry" and "London" are faves.

Earlier this month it was noted by member Bill Zero that the intro was similar to Behind the Mask by Yellow Magic Orchestra (1979).
