First of all can someone come up with what to call him? I prefer "MOZ" not "THE MOZ" What is a MOZ if it is not him? What is the problem?

And if they are going to list celebrity's that once lived in his house...doesnt it seem really easy to stop by a guy on the side of Sunset blvd. with a MAPS TO THE STARS HOMES and find out where Clark and Carole used to live?

Stalkers wet Dream...next on Kroq.com!

Yeah, that's what you would think. The addresses that Clark and Carole and F.Scott Fizgerald lived at no longer exist. Clark and Carole lived on a 20-acre ranch. But why would Morrissey lie? How could he just make that up? I'm convinced he lives in the Hostel above Hollywood Boulevard. I think I saw him spitting out the window last saturday.

The Poll about Morrissey wasnt very nice either!

Its asked.. "Should Morrissey just pack it in?" And i voted..NO! BUt when it shows the results 50% said yes 38% said he should try writing books for awhile and 13% said he should have packed it in after the smiths! I was the only one who said no. not too many moz fans on the kroq website huh?

KROQ SOLD OUT. They cater to 13 year olds

What do you expect with a station that lives on Rage Against the Machine and Kid Rock. (I wanna be a cowboy baby…uh, yeah….great song)

KROQ sold out a long time ago. I remember listening when a new REM album came out…a listener was pulled on the radio and was asked to make an instant song request…The listener said how about some old REM , maybe The one I love, and the DJ said sure….well they hung up on the listener and told the listening audience that they had to play the latest REM song instead. The same song they played on an hourly rotation.

Now they even play Metallica. It is all fallout from Pirate Radio (Heavy Metal) going off the error. They will play Motley Crue anytime they can get Pam Anderson to do an interview.

The Morrissey interview they did for Maladjusted stunk also. The DJ explaining to Morrissey something along the lines of, “yeah, I can relate to Maladjusted because when we were 15, we all felt Maladjusted.”

I never heard them play a song off the Maladjusted album again. (Although some friends of mine heard Alma Matters)

Re: KROQ SOLD OUT. They cater to 13 year olds

I have very mixed feelings about KROQ. They are doing the chat with Moz and broadcasting Moz at the Coachella, something that no other stations are doing. However, that poll was really insulting. There was only one possible positive answer to the question, and even if we choose that answer, we are conceding that Moz has not been good since Vauxhall. I also think that their results are fake. But why would they badmouth a singer that they seem to be promoting at the time?

I totally agree w/you re: kroq...they used to live on the edge now it seems they get their cues from mtv...after all isn't that where all their dj's end (washed)up...and talk about "old" REM...I don't remember the last time I've heard kroq play anything off of "reckoning" or "Fables of the reconstruction" or "Life's Rich Pageant" and don't even get me started on what they play from Morrissey or the Smiths, c'mon we can hear "how soon is now?", or "everyday is like sunday" anytime...kroq used to be so cool...now it seems that they've just gotten used to playing crap like kidrock or barenaked ladies hell why don't they just start rotating backstreet boys and nsync and be done with it....thank god for the personal cd player...

Re: KROQ SOLD OUT. They cater to 13 year olds

I agree as well. Kroq used to be the place to find good music old and new, but now it just all sucks. But what can they really do? They played alternative music before there was such a genre as "alternative". Now that music is the mainstream. Kroq has always stayed true to Morrissey to an extent. When I lived in Berkeley I never heard any DJ mention Morrissey's name, and rarely ever heard any Moz songs on the radio. When I would come back to LA, I'd turn on Kroq and Jed the Fish or Richard Blade would be talking about Morrissey. So it's hard to completely hate Kroq. I just don't listen to it anymore.

Hey, Rage Against the Machine are actually good. They are proper socialists, at least as much as Billy Bragg is. But I suppose they attract a lot of idiots because of their heavy sound.

Re: KROQ SOLD OUT. They cater to 13 year olds

Isn't this is what's happening to radio stations all over the US, though? I heard that even campus stations can't play what they want anymore. They've all been sucked into the giant corporate media
vortex, where playlists are dictated from above and deviations are not tolerated.

If you think they're bad, check out WHFS!!!

Don't even get me started with WHFS here in the D.C. area. It's just like that corporate radio megapower KROQ out in L.A. with the Kid Rock, Limp Bizkit, Dave Matthews, Smashmouth nonsense being played over and over again, all f*uckin' day long. The only way you will ever hear anything from the Smiths/Morrissey at WHFS is on their "Lunch at the Archives" show that comes on at noon (it's a flashback program that plays older songs from the '80's and early '90's). Yet, all they play is Bigmouth Strikes Again, How Soon Is Now and Everyday Is Like Sunday, period. But, why bitch? I've got my CD player with my Smiths' and Morrissey albums and I can just play them whenever I like. Although, it's still refreshing to hear the Smiths being played on a big corporate radio station like WHFS. Anyway, you suck WHFS and I'm sure KROQ sucks just as much especially with that god awful website of theirs.
