The Connection Game

Something we play on long car journeys that I had forgotten about until I saw the Morrissey - Julia Roberts 'Six Degrees of Seperation' article.

Basically you name two random and seemingly unconnected people and the person has to link the two.

It can't be farfetched though, like:

  • they both breathe oxygen
  • they both have feet

etc.

Thinking about it, it works much better in person....

I'll get the ball rolling anyway. So the person who replies to this post has to connect these two people...

Johnny Marr and Franklin D. Roosevelt

I thought that this was supposed to be along the lines like:

Link Gabe Kaplan to The Beatles.

Gabe Kaplan was the teacher on Welcome Back Kotter starring John Travolta
John Travolta starred in Pulp Fiction with Samuel Jackson
Samuel Jackson was in Star Wars with Yoda played by Frank Oz
Frank Oz played characters alongside Jim Henson on Sesame Street / The Muppet Show
Jim Henson played Kermit the Frog on the Ed Sullivan Show
Ed Sullivan introduced the Beatles.

Ahhh yeah it is.
But the crowd did their own 'thang' and who am I but to go with the flow?

They've both had singles in the British Top 40!
"Always Look on the Bright Side of Life"

Barbara Windsor and Mark E Smith

Both of them are national treasures that you'd like to bury.

Paul Daniels and Gordon Brown.

EE OOR.

Too vague. Has to be an actual link!

:)

Both national treasures that you'd like to bury? I knew i shouldn't have come in here - i never understand games - it's why i didn't get picked for the basketball team when i was 10 - freakin' quotas with that nerd with the national health spectacles - it should have been me....

Tiffany and Debbie Gibson?

@ London By Night - Just who is Tiffant....lol! (*edit - No Edit*)

Both big teen stars in the late 80's...or is that too obvious?

Try these....Phil Collins and Ringo Starr (there is a connection there, and it's not that they're both drummers!)

Phil Collins was in "The Return of Bruno" with Ringo Starr.

Find a way to link Harrison Ford to Jackie Gleason

The connection I was thinking of was that they were both in A Hard Day's Night. Phil Collins was one of the extras in the concert sequence. I didn't realise there were any other links. You learn something new every day :)

Play on...sorry to interrupt!
