I post here, in chat, and on the site under one name. It's always the same. Sandoval, from Madrid. Tonight, I come here after 2 weeks and read all kinds of bad things, people making death threats, people calling each other names, very long threads about a Dinosour band I have never heard of, etc.

Please. This is not the guestbook. We are not like Allure, Helen, & Rain Man. We are not insane.

To those who are making death threats against Mr. Improper, please stop.

To Mr. Improper, I know you don't need to call people ass clowns, say you are going to bash their skulls in, or have sex with their mothers to make your points. I know you are smarter than that.

To Patrick McCann, please, can you stop being so dogmatic. We all have our different views. Spirited debate is good, but it seems like you must always have the last word.

To Belligerent Ghoul, if you are posting under various names stop. I believe you if you say you are new here, as Popsicle was very smart but could be mean. You seem nicer.

To all others:

The only other person I know who posts here, in chat, and on the message board under 1 name, is Nonesoever. That's it.

The facts are that most of you do, but you do so with different names. Why? Because you are cowards? No, because you want those personas and these personas kept seperate, for whatever your reasons may be. And this is okay. Just don't kick someone else for doing it. I wish we could get back to the way things were before. Do you remember? Yes, I have not posted for a while, because I like to observe, and I always have been quiet, but this places seems to be getting more nasty all the time. This is our community. There is rarely, if ever a need to make personal attacks. Stay on the topics presented. There is rarely, if ever, the need to use vulgar language. Let's keep the discourse civil. After all, don't we all love Morrissey? Yes. Are we not then connected in some way? I think so.

I am so sad now. I go.

Sorry doll. I've never been to chat in my life. I do post on the main board occassionaly but always under my own user name. I'm not afraid to speak my mind and I don't care who I offend. You call this a plea for peace but yet you're accusing people of being cowards? Twisted logic, no?
I can only speak for myself though.
 
Hold on there sport...wait one minute...I have been coming here for the better part of 2 years,I ALWAYS use my own name. I dont go into chat very often,when i do...I ALWAYS use the PIMP moniker and so on.

I am very intelligent....I just have little tolerance for dumb ass posts about morrisey's sexuality,what songs of his suck,how so much better the other smiths are than him,what type of underwear he wears,what type of cologne he wears,etc...ALL these things have been posted on this board....WHY???? Because the people who post them are dolts..... I have little patience for dumb asses who come on here and post stupid shit.

As for the death threats,It must make them think they are cool. They dont have "thick skin" and probably get rattled at the first thing someone says to them.Which is obviously the case at the moment. Everyone here takes shit so serious,its funny,yet pathetic in a way......

If you read the post, you would see that this person specifically did not call anyone a coward.

1) I haven't been in chat in several months. I generally went in chat under my name for the main board. If I forgot the password, I'd go in under a new ID, always announcing who I really was. Again, I've been in chat maybe five times ever in the year that I've been a regular on Moz-Solo. I strongly dislike the format of that chat room. Who has the patience to be reloading all the time? I have never insulted anyone in that room either or done much of anything other than make uninspired small talk.

2) I post on the main board as joans_walkman. This is not a secret. I have always been honest about this other persona. I believe it used to be on my original profile as Mindy, which no longer exists. I had no reason for posting as joans_walkman on the main board as opposed to my real name. It's just the name I very arbitrarily chose to register. There was no sinister motive. I don't bash people on that board either although I will confront trolls and/or rant about unfair moderators.

3) I have been here as several different incarnations: Mindy, Reality Check, and now Chill. Like most people, I have posted under other names for troublemaking purposes, but haven't done that in ages either. Also, when I made my new appearances as R.C. and Chill, I began anonymously, but soon revealed that it was indeed I, Mindy. I abandoned the first two names for different reasons. As Mindy, I was harassed far more than I am now. I wanted to distance myself from the personal insults. As Reality Check, I got fed up with the board and left for a while before deciding to resurface and start fresh.

So please keep your assumptions to yourself seeing as you're pretty much dead wrong.

That may be true, but he makes an assumption that cowardice is the only motivation one could have for having more than one moniker. I think that's more indicative of his lack of imaginative powers than anything resembling truth.

I appreciate and agree with most of what you have written. But if you would go look, you would see that I am registered here on this message board, on the main page, and in chat as "Belligerent Ghoul," which is why nobody else can register that name. If you don't believe me, Sandoval, go and find out for yourself.

I don't wish to be known as PopsicleBoy, though everyone has figured out, or would have figured out in time, that yes, I was him.

Why did I change? Because of my reputation? No. Because I had a stalker? No. Because I wrote some nasty posts? No, everyone makes mistakes, and I was a newbie when I did stupid stuff.

Why? Because it was a juvenile name and I got tired of it.

I am a 29 year old man. I don't need to go by such a childish name.

It was a good name for a newbie, not for someone who is a wee bit older (there I go with the fake English accent again), a bit wiser, and who wants to have mature, civil, respectful, exchanges.

In addition, David Tseng, defaulted my Karma to a -1, and I got tired of posting with a great deal of thought & insight, and getting those kinds of scores. I suspect he might do the same to me with this name. And if he does so be it. I know that in as much as I have been a wanker (more fake British on my part), I have made great contributions too. I know very well all that I am, all that I have done, all that I have not done, and all that I have been accused of doing.

Oh dear. It looks like Mr. Improper is one of those "patriotic" people who has no grasp on what it means to be truly American. Seriously, anyone who uses the tired old line "if you don't like it, get out" should have their citizenship instantly revoked. How uninspired. It shows that one clearly has no clue as to the ideals upon which this country was built. The point was never to just take things lying down, to just accept the status quo. The Founding Fathers would say that people who think that way are the true un-Americans. The real un-Americans are the people who don't complain about anything and think everything is fine the way it is and believe whatever authority figures tell them to believe. Learn to think for yourself. I seem to remember your posts from a month or so before the war. You had some really negative things to say about the Bush administration and the idea of the war. All of a sudden you changed your tune. What the hell happened? Were you indoctrinated by Fox News and Bush's lies?

If I were really and truly anti-American, I'd keep my damn mouth shut and let this country go to hell in a handbasket without saying a word. As it is, I can't change anything, but I sure as hell don't have to let people think I'm happy with the way everything is. Yes, I do plan on leaving the United States eventually, but that has more to do with the feeling I have had all my life that I was born in the wrong place for whatever reason (a feeling I have had reinforced by numerous people who have told me I should have been European -- and no, they weren't trying to insult me). It has nothing to do with my alleged hatred of America. I don't hate the place. I hate the people in charge because they don't give a f*** about any of us.

And remember, the reason things never get better is because too many people think that way. If you don't like it, get out. If you're not with us, you're against us. Things will never be perfect, so why bother trying to improve anything? That's a really f***ed up way to think. It's a moral copout. Face it. There are some things in this country that need fixing. To deny that is to be severely out of touch with reality. And to criticize people for trying to bring attention to the things that need changing is unconscionable and irresponsible. It is also to keep Blake's "mind-forg'd manacles" firmly in place, to aid and abet your own imprisonment.

I know I'm intelligent. Far too intelligent to even be bothered that someone would devalue me as a human being for being only intelligent and not both intelligent and hot.

I could be hot if I wanted to be and I think I will be someday when I am ready. As it is, I really have nothing to motivate me. Men are no real motivation. Why should I make myself hot so I can date men who would never talk to me as I am now or who at least would never consider me as anything other than a friend? As far as I'm concerned, most of those men are assholes and I can date assholes now. They just wouldn't be hot assholes, but so f***ing what? Looks are the first thing to go...

Haven't a clue what you are on about but I have never been in the "chat-room" on this or any other site.

I have only ever posted under my own name.
Hope this helps to settle your paranoia.
