CANCELLATIONS: MORRISSEY:

It's like the song says, Morrissey fans: you just haven't earned it yet, baby. The former Smiths frontman and alt-rock icon has postponed his current solo tour indefinitely. Tour promoter House of Blues reports that Morrissey is very sorry for the postponement, although there's been no reason given for the move. It's too early to tell if the shows will be rescheduled. The somewhat reclusive Morrissey hasn't released an album since 1997's "Maladjusted," but is said to be working on a new disc.

IS THIS SERIOUS?????

someone please tell me this isn't true! could they have mistaken the news of the earlier postponed dates for the entire tour?

House of Blues' own website is NOT reporting this.

And it would seem that a website as interactive and constantly updated as Houseofblues.com would probably post the information if it were true.

Then again, it is Morrissey. Keep your fingers crossed.

And then again, the article on KROQ also says that Lenny Kravitz has cancelled, and the House of Blues' website isn't reporting that either...... eeeeek!

Re: Aaahhh, wait a minute....

.......I just realised that these mentioned cancelled Kravitz dates were all last week or something - so when was this KROQ site last updated?

So this could after all be a mix-up with the rescheduled dates..... let's hope so.

Re: Aaahhh, wait a minute....

I'm sure this all has to do with the Canadian dates, and other sources not getting the facts straight. All other relevant sources (ticketmaster, pollstar HOB, this site, morrisseytour.com, ect...) report no such cancellation.

I for one am big time confused....the House of Blues site isn't very reliable, it still has the Canadian dates on and the Spokane one which was cancelled first.

Don't Worry About It...

its just a radio station site and the news item was probably written by an intern who has never heard a Morrissey song in their life and has no idea what the story is with the tour. He or she probably misread the news on Allstar regarding the Canadian Shows being Cancelled (the way it was worded, it looked as though the whole tour has been scraped) and wrote that small blurb. All other sources say the tour is 'on' (including an update today from David T re: London)

Re: Don't Worry About It...

Oh I'm not affected anyway.....I'm on the old continent. I was just wondering.

Don't expect ticketmaster to report the cancellation immediately. It is in thier best interest to leave every show up as long as possible. The ticketmaster fee is non-refundable.
