A couple of possibilities: someone was going to replace Juan with Diamante Electrico on this show (seems unlikely but, haven't the Polecats played without Boz?) or someone else was going to play bass with Morrissey on at least that date of the tour? A bit odd for sure.

That is a nice lineup btw.

A third possibility is pull a Moz and cancel days before the show. A disregard towards the fans (that seem not to care about Morrissey, which is cool). Don't think so.

A fourth and final possibility: He already knew the tour in South America was not going to happen. Or there was very little chance.

Even while hanging out backstage in Mexico with Garbage and Morrissey, the festival kept on promoting his band for the 23rd.

That’s not a possibility at all. He (and the band) wouldn’t have travelled to Mexico if that was the case.

It's all old news by now, right?

Who cares if Juan had a gig date in Colombia when he had to play with Morrissey in Argentina, right?

A gig that was promoted even when Juan was in Mexico ready to kickstart Morrissey's tour...

And suddenly the tour is posponed... It's kinda obvious.

Would be nice to know if the crew had also travelled to Mexico, otherwise it was just the band and some assistant.

The band probably knew there was little chance Morrissey would play. Still they met up. It was all-paid anyway.

Coincidentally, the production team for this failed South (or Latin) American tour has its HQ in Florida, where the US tour will start...

Is the Sao Paulo venue all standing?

Trying to understand the difference between the following tickets - Pista, Pista Premium, Mezanino, Camarote A - 04A &
Camarote A - 12A
