The deadest period of Morrissey news *ever*, or just the calm before the...calm?

You're standing too close to the fire.

Back away a little bit. In the last 12 months, Morrissey has had a full-fledged international tour with sold out dates in the US and the UK. He has performed on network television in the US, had a documentary broadcast about him in the UK, has appeared in countless music industry and more mainstream print publications.

It's only been a year.5 since NME named The Smiths the most influential band of all time, and hasn't even been 3 months since The Importance of Being Morrissey was broadcast.

That's a heck of a lot of coverage/press/news for a man who hasn't had a record company, let alone a record, to promote. So the last month or two have been a little dry. But mixed in with the previous 10 months or so it has been a monsoon.

there are some rumours about the new album on morrisseytour.com

but i doubt if they are true. something about new songs and recording dates

and something else i missed that was posted as a rumor...

boz playing in new orleans for the new years holidays?

some people i know went there for new year's 2000 and said it was pretty wild...however, as long as i have my current job, i suppose i'll never know.

New Song "The Woman is a Dyke" ? Sounds like they have a disgruntled caller...
