Back away a little bit. In the last 12 months, Morrissey has had a full-fledged international tour with sold out dates in the US and the UK. He has performed on network television in the US, had a documentary broadcast about him in the UK, has appeared in countless music industry and more mainstream print publications.
It's only been a year.5 since NME named The Smiths the most influential band of all time, and hasn't even been 3 months since The Importance of Being Morrissey was broadcast.
That's a heck of a lot of coverage/press/news for a man who hasn't had a record company, let alone a record, to promote. So the last month or two have been a little dry. But mixed in with the previous 10 months or so it has been a monsoon.
